Hayride!

It's been awhile since I've given everyone an update and we've had a lot going on since then. This weekend has been relaxing and laid back, but we were very busy last weekend. Last Friday night we went over to Nana and Papa's house to celebrate my aunt Vicki's and my Uncle Marty's birthdays. Wyatt got to meet his new cousin Alyssa, my cousin Meredith and her husband Josh's baby, who was born in June. He was so cute with her and gave her a kiss on her head:) Friday was a late night for me because my cousin Chris and his wife Rachel flew in from New York to surprise his parents. They got in late but we all waited up for them. It was a nice surprise for John and Vicki!

On Saturday morning Wyatt and I headed back over to Nana and Papa's to hang out with everyone. Wyatt got to meet Chris and Rachel for the first time...and he and Evan had a great time playing in the sand box. Saturday night Wyatt went over to GG and Grandpa's for the night while we went out. We went to the Bone Bash, an event for the Arthritis Foundation at which my parents were being honored. It was a great event except that I went home sick part way through:( Oh well. Luckily I was feeling better by Sunday afternoon in time for the annual Glassmeyer Hayride. We had a beautiful day and a great turnout for the hayride. Wyatt had fun playing with his cousins and friends, going for hayrides, tractor rides, and his first motorcycle ride. He loved the motorcycle ride and we had to pull him off screaming because he wanted to stay on. I think he takes after his daddy:)

All in all it was a very busy weekend but a fun one! Since then we have been enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Wyatt and I have been going for evening walks and he enjoys finding all of the basketball hoops in the neighborhood, saying "dunk" each time we pass one. He has also been practicing throwing a spiral with his football, hiking it between his legs, and now we're working on catching it:) He loves to play ball! Hope everyone had a good weekend:)

The Ranch

The past two weekends Wyatt has gone down to the Ranch and enjoyed some beautiful days playing in the hay and dirt, and going for tractor rides. Last weekend we all were able to go together, along with Mark and the four kids and GG and Grandpa. Wyatt enjoyed playing with his cousins and Andrew and Wil especially enjoyed playing with Mosley. She kept them entertained! Yesterday Matt and Wyatt headed down with Mark, Wil, Ryan, and Grandpa. Wyatt watched daddy fix the tractor and managed to get totally filthy playing in the dirt. I think he had fun:)

Today I am home with Wyatt because he was throwing up in the middle of the night. Hopefully this is a short lived illness:) He hasn't thrown up anymore today so we are keeping our fingers crossed! Besides that not much has been going on with us. Wyatt continues to enjoy being in the toddler classroom and continues to nap great on his cot. He comes home exhausted and dirty everyday! His favorite place to play on the playground is in the mulch:)

I hope everyone has a great week!

Fall Begins

So far Wyatt is having a great time in Toddlers and has been napping well everyday. He is typically one of the first ones asleep each day:) He is so much more active now, so at night he is exhausted when he gets home. He is also getting a lot more stable on his feet and will now rarely crawl. He is getting to be such a big boy! He seems so much older in the past few weeks:)

Wyatt had a good weekend at GG and Grandpa's house and was luckily feeling better by Saturday afternoon. Thank you again for letting him stay with you! On Sunday Matt and Wyatt got to hang out most of the day while I went to the Bengals game with some friends. It was a lot of fun even though the Bengals lost...to the Browns. Oh well!

The weather is starting to feel like fall and we have been spending lots of time playing outside. Wyatt likes going for rides on his little bike and playing ball out front. His buddy Elijah on the street (who is 3 months younger than Wyatt) and him were playing ball together tonight. It will be fun to continue to see them out playing together. We are looking forward to a nice, relaxing weekend at home. Happy 30th Birthday Tim!

Toddlers Here He Comes!

Wyatt had a great transition week to his new Toddler classroom. He began napping there...on a cot...on Tuesday and has done great so far. On Tuesday he was the first one asleep at 12:15 and slept until 2:20! That is a great nap for him at school. They said he rolled off of his cot at one point but then just curled up in a ball where he was with his head on the cot and kept sleeping. I would have loved to see that:) Every day he has slept around 2 hours which is a lot better than I thought he would do. We'll see if that continues! He seems to really be enjoying playing with everything in his new room and loves being outside on the Toddler playground. His favorite thing to do is play in the mulch, so everyday he comes home with mulch in every place imaginable. We usually leave a small pile on the floor of the bathroom during bath time:) He is having a great time!

Today I am home with Wyatt because he woke up with a fever. Nothing bad, but too high that he can't go to school. I don't know if he is fighting off something...there is stuff going around right now...or whether he is cutting his next molar. I guess we'll see. He is supposed to spend the weekend with GG and Grandpa so we'll see how he's feeling later today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Happy Birthday Papa!

Walking!

Our little man is now officially walking...finally. I think he was just taking his time until he was really confident. He has gone from only taking 4-5 steps when prompted to walking around the entire house, turning around, and turning corners without falling. He is so proud of himself and always has a big grin on his face when he's walking. It will probably get even better now that he has started spending most of his time at school in the Toddler classroom. We met with his new teachers last week and I think they are both going to be great. We are excited for the transition, but he is no longer our little baby anymore. He seems like such a big boy!

For the most part we had a nice, relaxing weekend. On Saturday Wyatt and I went to Gymboree and then hung out at home and played. We then met Nana, Papa, and Matt at the park in downtown Loveland for some playtime and then enjoyed dinner at Paxton's. We of course had to visit the candy store after dinner and Wyatt got his first taste of my favorite chocolate mints and loved them:) On Sunday morning Matt, Wyatt, Mosley, and I walked to the park for some more playtime. Sunday afternoon, while watching the Bengals lose, we lost power during our crazy wind storm. We were very lucky not to have any damage though, considering how many trees we have surrounding our house. The power came back on Monday evening which we were very grateful for...some people are still without power! Wyatt was a little trooper and did not seem too bothered by it. I hope everyone is having a good week!

Fun Times

Things have been a lot busier now that I am back to work. Wyatt is doing great being back at school full time and is beginning his transition to the Toddler classroom soon. Carrie has taken him down to his future Toddler room a few times to play and he has enjoyed it. He already knows, and really likes Emily, who will be one of his teachers. It's so hard to believe that he will be moving on soon. He will miss Carrie and Sharon but I'm sure will enjoy being with the big kids:)

He is starting to walk more but we still have to encourage him to. If you tell him to stand up and walk he will, but he still seems to prefer crawling. He is talking and signing a lot though and is really able to communicate almost everything he wants and needs, which has been really nice. Right now he is cutting his third molar and has a fever to go along with it. Every time a molar has broken through he has run a fever for a couple of days. Hopefully they will all come in soon! He had his 15 month appointment recently and weighed in at 23 lbs, 13 oz (50th percentile) and was 32 inches long (80th percentile). Still long and lean...like his daddy!

We spent Labor Day with our friends Adam and Kenda, Tim, Emily, and Henry. We all met at Kenda's dad's house in Shelbyville, IN and had a great day of swimming, riding dirt bikes, and hanging out. It was so nice to see everyone! I hope everyone has a good weekend!
