School

Wyatt started preschool at Children's Meeting House Montessori School last week. He is at the school where I teach but is in a different classroom. So far he seems to be enjoying it and his teachers say he is doing okay...they could just be telling me that though:) I get to see him on the playground and then he gets picked up by our sitter to spend the afternoon with her and Chase. It has been so nice having Emily come to our house to watch the boys! It has made my life so much easier and the boys absolutely love her!

Chase is all over the place now! He is army crawling everywhere. He is starting to try to pull himself up but isn't quite there independently yet. He loves crawling over anyone who is sitting on the floor:) It's hard to believe he will be one the end of the month...time is flying by! He continues to be a very laid back kid and just likes to explore. He loves going places and checking out new scenes.

Wyatt continues to love sports! Nana has taken him mini bowling a couple of times recently and he loved it. He has also been going to the country club with Papa to hit golf balls...he has a great swing. He has also been to a pre-season Bengals game and to a UC football game. He loves it!

Summer is Flying By!

Well we've been very busy here enjoying the summer. The week after I finished work the boys and I headed to Naples, Florida with Nana and Papa. We had a great time swimming, riding the tram to the beach, playing at the beach, going for runs and just hanging out. Wyatt got very comfortable swimming with his water wings on and was jumping in all by himself...and going under water! This was Chase's first time really swimming and he loved the water. He liked to splash the water which would then soak his face. He was pretty funny. It was a great week!

The rest of June flew by and then it was down to Norris Lake for the Fourth of July with the Glassmeyers. It was a great weekend and all of the cousins had fun spending time together. We had beautiful weather and fun times!

Chase is growing quickly and it's hard to believe that he is already 10 months old! He is scooting around now but not officially crawling on his hands and knees...he's pretty close though. He is babbling a lot and says "mama, dada, papa" and lots of other random sounds. He waves bye but hasn't said "bye, bye" yet. He tries hard to say "dog" while he signs it and makes a sound almost like a woof. He's a talkative little guy. He is proving to be a little chunkier than Wyatt and is a solid little man. At his 9 month appointment he weighed 21 pounds 3 ounces and was 29.25 inches long. He is a very happy, laid back little guy and loves watching Wyatt. Wyatt can get him to belly laugh better than anyone else:)

We have had a fun, busy summer filled with swimming, hanging out with friends and family, playing outside (when it's not 100 degrees!), and relaxing. I go back to work in 2 weeks so we are trying to enjoy these last days of summer.

I am not able to post pictures right now...I haven't quite figured out what is wrong...but click on the link to the side of the blog that says "More Fun Photos" and that will take you to our Mobile Me gallery if you are interested. There are a lot of pics posted there. Hope everyone has had a wonderful summer!

Wyatt's 3rd Birthday!

Wyatt had his birthday party on Saturday at The Little Gym and it was a great success. Wyatt and his buddies had a great time running around and burning off their energy. After the party we had the family over to hang out, eat pizza, and go swimming. It was a great day and Wyatt was completely exhausted by the end of the night!

On Sunday we spent most of the day at home being lazy in our jammies...a much needed relaxing day. Then on Sunday night Wyatt and I went with Nana and Papa to meet my brother's biological dad's family. We had met his dad once and this time we were able to meet some more of his family. Everyone was so nice and it was great to be able to meet them. Wyatt had a blast playing with Evan and Glen (my brother's dad).

Summer is almost officially here for me! One more week of working...just meetings and cleaning up the classroom...and then it's summer and off to Florida. This is Wyatt's last week in his toddler room at Compass and then he will be home with me for the summer. I am looking forward to all of the fun things we get to do together:) Chase will still be going to school 2 days a week over the summer to keep him in the routine. I am really looking forward to being with my boys again:)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Norris Lake

We had a great Memorial Day weekend at the lake with Matt's family. Chase and Wyatt were both great travelers and had a good time playing at the lake for the weekend. Wyatt enjoyed playing with all of his cousins and they were all completely enamored by Chase. It was pretty cute:) Hannah was especially into Chase and would just sit with him while he played and would make sure he had his toys. Some of the highlights of the weekend were...boat rides, getting ice cream at the dock, playing on the inflatable water slide, golf cart rides, throwing rocks in the lake, and playing with water balloons. We had beautiful weather which allowed us to spend lots of time outside in the sun:)

Also, Wyatt turned 3 last Tuesday! It's hard to believe my little man is 3. He is having a gymnastics birthday party next Saturday so there will be pictures to come from that. Wyatt did attend his first tea party on Sunday for his cousin Lucy's third birthday. It was Wyatt and 8 girls:) He got into it after awhile and was even pouring his own "tea" (water) into his little tea cup.

Chase is growing quickly and is now 8 months old! He is rolling all over the place and really seems like he wants to crawl. He is now sitting independently for short periods of time and is getting stronger everyday. He is babbling constantly now and will even squeal sometimes...he's probably trying to be heard over Wyatt:) He is saying "dada" but of course hasn't managed to say "mama" yet. He is a pretty happy little guy.

We hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend!

Hanging Out

It's hard to believe that Wyatt's 3rd birthday is next week! My little man is growing up:) This year he is having a gymnastics party and is very excited to invite all of his friends to his party. He knows he's turning 3 so now when we say two more of anything (2 more shots, throws, etc.) he says "No, three more because I'm going to get 3 soon!" We're in trouble when he gets older!

Chase is growing up quickly too. He's 7 1/2 months now and is my little chunky monkey! He is rolling all over the place and loves playing on his belly. He is starting to sit independently but seems like he is more interested in learning how to crawl. He loves watching Wyatt and laughs at everything he does. Also, he smiles and laughs whenever the dog walks by him. It's pretty cute. He now has his two bottom teeth and when he was getting his teeth he was always sucking his lips in which made him look like a turtle...so now he has adopted the nickname "turtle." We also have found ourselves calling him Chaser and I think that will probably stick. Wyatt always refers to him as "Chaser".

On Mother's Day we took Wyatt to a Red's Game and he absolutely loved it! He sat through almost the whole game and kept his mitt handy just in case a ball came our way...too bad we were right behind home plate behind the net. There was no chance a ball was coming to our seats! We had great seats though. Thanks Nana and Papa!

Life is good in the Glassmeyer house!

Norris

A couple of weeks ago we went down to the lake for a few days while I was on Spring Break. Nana, Papa, and Evan went down with Matt, the boys and I and Uncle Doug met us down there. We had a great time! Wyatt and Evan have so much fun together:) On Friday we took Wyatt and Evan to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN and they loved it. Wyatt rode his first ride and he loved the few he went on. We rode a mini roller coaster, flying elephants, and Wyatt got to drive a car. The boys were exhausted after a fun day! The rest of the weekend we hung out at the lake and played. Chase came down with his first real illness...he ran a fever the whole weekend and was coughing. After a visit to the doctor when we got home and round of antibiotics he is doing a lot better:)

Chase is growing quickly and is very close to sitting independently. He loves playing in his ExerSaucer and on his playmat. He continues to do great at school and seems to really like both of his teachers. He is a very laid back little man:)

With the nice weather we have been enjoying our screened in porch and have been spending most evenings out there. Wyatt loves it because he can play his sports...golf, basketball, football...and not worry about anything getting in the way. He loves to eat dinner out there at the big table and the animals are enjoying it as well.

All is good here at the Glassmeyer house:)
