4 Months

Wyatt had his 4 month appointment today and passed with flying colors:) He weighed in at a hefty 17 pounds and is 27 inches long! He is in the 90th percentile for weight and 95th for height. He got 4 shots so his little chubby legs are sore tonight:( He did great with the shots though.

This week Wyatt has started taking a bath with me in the big tub and loves it! He sits up and looks around and plays with some of his toys. It's a little harder for him to grab an object when it's moving in the water but he's working on it.

Well, not much has happened this week to write about so I think I'm going to go now and get ready for bed so I can watch Grey's Anatomy:) Have a great Friday!

A Day of Driving

It was a good Sunday...a little hot but enjoyable. We spent the day at Kentucky Speedway while Matt did the Richard Petty driving experience. After taking a few classes he was able to drive a Nascar race car for 8 laps around the speedway. He of course had a great time and clocked a speed of 140 mph! Wyatt, Nana, GG, and Gramps went to watch him drive. Wyatt was very proud of his daddy!

After that we went to Nana and Papa's and watched the Bengals lose...again. We hung out for awhile and then headed home to end a great weekend. Here are some pics of Wyatt and I will post some of Matt at the speedway when I get them from GG and Nana. Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and has a great week!

Yummy Cereal!

Wyatt had rice cereal for the first time this evening. He did pretty well with it but probably ended up with more on him and his bib than in his mouth:) I think we're going to have a big boy on our hands...he ate the cereal plus an 8 ounce bottle! He goes for his 4 month checkup this week and I'm curious to see how much he weighs. He's a solid little boy!

So far we have had a good weekend. Wyatt spent the night with GG last night and gave mom and dad a little break. We had a couples shower for my friend Julie last night and then this morning I actually slept in until 8:00. Thanks GG! Then Wyatt and I hung out with GG, Gramps, Grace, and Hannah for most of the day while Matt was at work. We're probably just going to hang out around the house tonight and maybe go for walk later if it cools off at all. I had to break down today and turn the air back on:( Hopefully it cools off soon so Wyatt and I can enjoy our evening walks again. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Wyatt Rolls Over!

It was an exciting evening tonight. Wyatt rolled over from his tummy to his back for the first time! I got the second roll on video tape. He was so happy after he did it:) He just grinned from ear to ear. He is also showing interest in rolling from his back to his tummy and does so with a little support from me. I'm sure it won't be long until he's doing that too. We've also been practicing sitting up and he loves sitting and looking around at everything. He is so observant and loves just watching us and Mosley.

We had a good weekend. The weather was beautiful so we got outside some which was nice. On Saturday afternoon Wyatt got to spend a couple of hours with my cousin Andrew and his girlfriend Tempe. They watched him while I went to the spa for the beginning of Julie's bachelorette party. Then that night Matt and Wyatt had some daddy-son bonding time while I went out on the town for the remainder of her party...and I even spent the night out! On Sunday we all just hung out around the house and lounged around...and watched the Bengals get beat by the Browns! Yuck!

I hope everyone has a great week!

The Ranch

Wyatt took his first trip down to The Ranch on Sunday! We went down with GG and Gramps, Mike and Grace, Mark and the boys, and Adam. The boys played on the dirt bikes most of the day while GG and I hung out on the porch with Wyatt, Grace, and Ryan. It was a nice day...not too hot. Wyatt even wore his tractor shirt to fit in:) Also, on Sunday night we took Mosley to Clifton Meadows swim club for another doggie swim. Adam and Kenda also came and brought their dog Fender. Mosley and Fender had a great time! Mosley was launching off the diving board for most of the time. The kids there were having a great time playing with her and Wyatt seemed to enjoy watching all of the dogs and hanging out with Papa.

I think Wyatt has started teething because he is drooling like crazy! He is always covered in drool and his hands or a toy are constantly in his mouth. He is getting a lot better at holding onto a toy and getting it into his mouth. He also pulled one of his toys on his play mat to make the music go for the first time last week. He has done it a couple of times now. He is getting a little better at tummy time but still doesn't like it. I think he is going to figure out soon how to get out of it:)

Well, that's about all that is going on here. Wyatt had a good day at school today:) He is taking a nap now while I'm watching the Bengals game. Who Dey!

A Great Day With Friends

We spent Labor Day hanging out at Hidden Valley Lake with our wonderful friends. It was a great day! Thanks Tim, Emily, and Dr. and Mrs. Beckman for having us over! Wyatt got to meet his new buddy Henry and got to see his buddy Drew again. They hung out for the day doing what babies do...laying around, playing, napping, and eating. The weather was beautiful so we were able to hang out outside for the day and even managed to take a quick swim in the lake. It was a great way to spend Labor Day:)

Today Wyatt was back at school after being gone for a week. His teachers said he did okay but only took some cat naps and didn't take his usual long nap. I'm hoping he will begin to get back onto his schedule now that he is back at school. I could really use some full nights of sleep:) Especially now that I am back to work. Tonight Wyatt and I took Mosley to Queen City Racquet Club (where my parents work out) for a doggie swim and met Nana there. The pool is closing for the year so they have a doggie swim night and donate all of the proceeds to the SPCA. There were tons of dogs there and Mosley had so much fun! Wyatt enjoyed watching all of the dogs swimming.

Now it's off to bed to try to get some sleep!

A Rough Week!

This has been a tough week because Wyatt came down with his first virus. On Tuesday afternoon I got a call from his school to come pick him up because he had a fever. The fever lasted until about Friday morning when he finally began feeling better and was back to his old smiling self. Even though he wasn't feeling well he was a little trooper through it all. He really just wanted to be held most of the time. Because of the fever his sleeping at night was interrupted and he still has not transitioned back into his old sleeping habits, which is starting to wear on me. Hopefully within the next couple of days he will be back to sleeping through the night:) On top of Wyatt getting a virus I started back to school on Wednesday...so my first day back with students I had my sick kid at home. Luckily Matt was able to stay home with him on Wednesday and then my mom was able to come over on Thursday for awhile. Then to top off the week his school was closed on Friday for a teacher in-service day...so Adam came over in the morning and Kenda came over in the afternoon to watch Wyatt. We really appreciate all of the help! Everyone has told me welcome to motherhood!

On the positive side Wyatt went to his first Bengals game this weekend with Nana, Papa, and I. He did great and actually slept through part of the game! I think only Matt, Papa, and Wyatt could sleep through that noise:) On Saturday the weather was gorgeous so Wyatt, Mosley, and I spend much of the day outside hanging out. It was so nice to be outside! Wyatt seems to enjoy the fresh air and looking around at everything. I think Sunday is going to be a similar day. I hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend!
