Pumpkin and Peas

Wyatt had a great day at school today and got to participate in his first pumpkin carving. His teachers carved a pumpkin and then let the babies play in the pumpkin "guts" after being stripped down to their diapers. They said Wyatt was the only one who sat right in the tub with the insides of the pumpkin and actually played in it. They said he loved squishing it between his fingers! We might have to carve one at home this weekend so he can play again. Wyatt's teacher said she would send me some pictures so I will post some when I get them.

Also, today Wyatt had his first food...peas! He did pretty well with them until he realized there was also oatmeal present and then his focus turned towards the oatmeal and away from the peas. He loves his oatmeal! We gave up on the rice cereal because he was not liking that at all:( We'll see how he does with the peas tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. Go Bengals!

A Fun Weekend With Friends

We had a great weekend at Norris Lake with some of our friends...Adam and Kenda, and Tim, Emily and Henry. The weather was beautiful and we were able to get outside and even get some tubing in. I can't believe how nice the weather was for the end of October! Wyatt got to hang out with his buddy Henry who is 2 months older. They had a great time watching each other play:) Thanks GG and Gramps for getting the place ready for us. We had a wonderful weekend!

Wyatt continues to do great. He is always smiling and laughing and loves to play with anyone who is willing. He seems to really enjoy reaching for his toys and is so excited when he is able to grab it. Also, he has been rolling over from both back to tummy and tummy to back regularly and continues to smile big when he does it. He is so proud of himself! A favorite of his right now is to sit in his Bumbo seat and look at himself in the mirror. He loves mirrors! On the down side, the last couple of nights have been rough when it comes to sleeping. I think he has started teething (he constantly has a waterfall of drool coming out of his mouth) and doesn't seem very comfortable at night. We gave him some Tylenol tonight before bed so we'll see how he does. I need to head to bed soon so I can get some sleep...this is when it is hard to be a full time working mom.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

A Fun Day at the Zoo

Wyatt had his first trip to the zoo on Saturday for his cousin Charlee's birthday party. I heard it was a lot of fun and a great day for everyone. We are sorry we missed it! Wyatt had a great weekend with GG, Grandpa, Dan, and Charlee! For the weekend he was feeling better until Sunday early evening when he got sick again. I had to pick him up at school early on Monday but today he was back to himself. I haven't seen him this happy in over a week! He was back to talking, smiling, laughing, and being his silly self again. This was so nice to see after over a week of being sick off and on. Thank you again GG and Grandpa for watching him over the weekend! We appreciate all of your help. I had a great weekend with Julie for her wedding. Everything was beautiful and it all went very smoothly.

Wyatt had a great day at school today exploring with pumpkins. His teachers said he enjoyed playing with them. She said she got some great pictures so I will post some of those when I get them. I hope everyone is having a great week! Here are some pictures from the Zoo.

Feeling Better

Wyatt is doing much better and it is so nice to have the smiling, happy Wyatt back:) The last two nights he is back to sleeping all night...in his crib...which is good for me. This week he was sleeping in his pack and play in the living room while I slept on the couch because that was the only place he was happy sleeping. He was back at school on Thursday and his teachers were happy to see him and he was happy to see them:)

This weekend my friend Julie is getting married so I have a busy weekend ahead of me. We just got home from the rehearsal dinner and it is really weird being home without Wyatt. Because of all of the festivities Wyatt is spending the weekend with GG and Gramps. Nana picked him up at school today and dropped him off at GG's house for me. Thanks Nana! His cousin Charlee from California is in town and is staying at their house also, so Wyatt will have someone around to entertain him. Charlee was so excited about meeting all of her new cousins! Nana said that Wyatt was paying so much attention to Charlee that he wasn't even eating. It should be a fun weekend for them!

Charlee is having her 6th birthday party at the zoo tomorrow so Wyatt is going to his first birthday party. Hopefully GG takes lots of pictures! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Sick Again

Well, it was kind of a rough weekend starting Saturday afternoon because Wyatt came down with a stomach bug. He seems to be doing a little better today...so far...but we'll see if he's able to keep the formula down today. It is no fun having a sick baby! You can tell he wants to be happy he just can't because he doesn't feel well. He is also really weak because he hasn't eaten much since Friday. We have gotten a few smiles out of him in the past couple of days which is not like him...he is usually smiling all the time. I only worked in the morning today and GG came over and stayed with him. We are doing the same thing again tomorrow. Thank you GG for all of your help!!!

We had the annual Glassmeyer Hay Ride down at The Ranch yesterday in the blazing heat. We had a good turnout and it was fun despite Wyatt being sick. He was a little trooper! I didn't even take any pictures so when I get some from GG I will post some from the day.

Well, that's about all that is going on here. Wyatt is sleeping right now so I'm trying to get some stuff done around the house. Hope everyone has a good week.

Feet!

Wyatt has discovered his feet and is totally fascinated by them! Carrie, one of his teachers, said that he was sucking on his toes so much today that his big toe looked like a prune:) He is always watching them and checking them out. He still enjoys the big bathtub and seems to really like his nightly bath with mom. Since he has discovered his feet he has started kicking them while in the tub and splashing. He's not quite sure what he's doing yet though.

The weather was beautiful over the weekend so we tried to spend as much time outside as we could. On Saturday when Matt was at work, Wyatt, Mosley, and I met Nana and Papa at a park to walk around. We discovered a new park that we had never been to that was beautiful. There was a nice mile long paved trail that we walked and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Mosley even got to take a dip in the water. We had a nice, relaxing weekend.
