Historic Airplane Ride

Today was a fun day for Wyatt, GG, and I! We went to visit Grandma at Lunken Airport to see the Historic Ford Tri-Motor Airplane that was in town for a long weekend and ended up taking a ride in it. Thanks Grandma! The plane was number 146 of the 199 that were built between the years 1926 and 1933. This one first flew on August 21, 1929. It was neat to fly so low to the ground because you could see everything so clearly...we even saw the house that Matt grew up in. Wyatt seemed to really enjoy the ride and looked out the window most of the time. He also kept saying "vroom, vroom" because that's the noise the engines were making:) It wasn't too loud and the ride was a lot smoother than I anticipated. It was a lot of fun!

Weekend with Daddy

Wyatt and Matt got to spend Father's Day weekend together while I took a trip to Colorado to visit a good friend of mine. I had a very relaxing and fun weekend, which was a great way to start off my summer...I am officially done with work for the summer:) On Saturday while Matt worked Wyatt stayed with Nana and Papa. Papa took him and Mosley running in the morning and then they just hung around the house and played the rest of the day. Nana said one of his favorite things to do was play in their garage. She said he crawled around checking out the tires on all of the cars...like father, like son:) Then on Sunday Matt and Wyatt got to hang out together all day.

Today Nana, Wyatt, and I went down to Sawyer Point to play at the playground. Then we met Papa for lunch on Fountain Square. It was such a beautiful day we tried to get outside as much as possible! Wyatt and I enjoyed an evening walk tonight, trying to dodge cicadas on the way:) It has been a good week so far.

Thanks for the shirt Adam and Kenda!

Wyatt's Second Car Show

It's hard to believe but this weekend was Wyatt's second annual Concours car show! Last year he was only a couple of weeks old...he probably enjoyed it a little more this year:) On Sunday Matt had to work the show so Wyatt and I went with Nana, Papa, and Evan. It was blazing hot but we all had a good time. It's nice that there were shady places to sit to get out of the sun. That evening, after a long afternoon nap, Matt and I took Wyatt swimming at our neighborhood pool. He is a little hesitant right now, but I'm hoping once he gets going he will have as much fun in the water as he did in Florida. I plan on taking him swimming a lot this summer:)

We started off the weekend a little rough with Wyatt not feeling well. He had a fever from Wednesday morning to Thursday night, an ear infection, and then on Friday a viral rash appeared all over him. By Saturday afternoon though he was back to his happy, smiling self. The rash is about gone:) So all in all, in ended up being a nice weekend. I hope everyone has a good week!

I think the Cobra looks good in our garage:)

It looks too natural for him

Hannah's Birthday

On Sunday we celebrated Hannah's first birthday at Mike and Ellen's house. We had a great time and it was fun for all of the kids to be together again. Hannah had a great time with her cake! Also, on Sunday we took Wyatt swimming at Maketewah Country Club with Nana, Papa, Michelle, and Evan. He was a little hesitant but was fine as long as he was holding onto us. It's been awhile since he swam last. I'm hoping he gets used to it again soon! I plan on taking him a lot this summer.

Wyatt had his one year doctor's visit and had a clean bill of health...then. Today he had to go back because he was running a fever all day. At the doctor's he had a 102.6 degree fever and has an ear infection. Aunt Ellen got to do his check up today:) At his one year appointment he weighed 22.3 pounds (45th percentile) and was 31 inches long (90th percentile). He grew 2 inches in 2 months! Hopefully he continues to take after the Glassmeyers in his height:)

We have a busy weekend ahead of us so I hope Wyatt is healthy by then. We have the Concours d'Elegance car show at Ault Park on Sunday and parties leading up to it on Friday and Saturday night. This will be Wyatt's second Concours show! Matt has to work all day so Wyatt and I are going with Nana and Papa. Two more days of school! I hope everyone has a good rest of the week and a good weekend.

Hannah loved the cake!
