Toddlers Here He Comes!

Wyatt had a great transition week to his new Toddler classroom. He began napping there...on a cot...on Tuesday and has done great so far. On Tuesday he was the first one asleep at 12:15 and slept until 2:20! That is a great nap for him at school. They said he rolled off of his cot at one point but then just curled up in a ball where he was with his head on the cot and kept sleeping. I would have loved to see that:) Every day he has slept around 2 hours which is a lot better than I thought he would do. We'll see if that continues! He seems to really be enjoying playing with everything in his new room and loves being outside on the Toddler playground. His favorite thing to do is play in the mulch, so everyday he comes home with mulch in every place imaginable. We usually leave a small pile on the floor of the bathroom during bath time:) He is having a great time!

Today I am home with Wyatt because he woke up with a fever. Nothing bad, but too high that he can't go to school. I don't know if he is fighting off something...there is stuff going around right now...or whether he is cutting his next molar. I guess we'll see. He is supposed to spend the weekend with GG and Grandpa so we'll see how he's feeling later today. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Happy Birthday Papa!

Walking!

Our little man is now officially walking...finally. I think he was just taking his time until he was really confident. He has gone from only taking 4-5 steps when prompted to walking around the entire house, turning around, and turning corners without falling. He is so proud of himself and always has a big grin on his face when he's walking. It will probably get even better now that he has started spending most of his time at school in the Toddler classroom. We met with his new teachers last week and I think they are both going to be great. We are excited for the transition, but he is no longer our little baby anymore. He seems like such a big boy!

For the most part we had a nice, relaxing weekend. On Saturday Wyatt and I went to Gymboree and then hung out at home and played. We then met Nana, Papa, and Matt at the park in downtown Loveland for some playtime and then enjoyed dinner at Paxton's. We of course had to visit the candy store after dinner and Wyatt got his first taste of my favorite chocolate mints and loved them:) On Sunday morning Matt, Wyatt, Mosley, and I walked to the park for some more playtime. Sunday afternoon, while watching the Bengals lose, we lost power during our crazy wind storm. We were very lucky not to have any damage though, considering how many trees we have surrounding our house. The power came back on Monday evening which we were very grateful for...some people are still without power! Wyatt was a little trooper and did not seem too bothered by it. I hope everyone is having a good week!

Fun Times

Things have been a lot busier now that I am back to work. Wyatt is doing great being back at school full time and is beginning his transition to the Toddler classroom soon. Carrie has taken him down to his future Toddler room a few times to play and he has enjoyed it. He already knows, and really likes Emily, who will be one of his teachers. It's so hard to believe that he will be moving on soon. He will miss Carrie and Sharon but I'm sure will enjoy being with the big kids:)

He is starting to walk more but we still have to encourage him to. If you tell him to stand up and walk he will, but he still seems to prefer crawling. He is talking and signing a lot though and is really able to communicate almost everything he wants and needs, which has been really nice. Right now he is cutting his third molar and has a fever to go along with it. Every time a molar has broken through he has run a fever for a couple of days. Hopefully they will all come in soon! He had his 15 month appointment recently and weighed in at 23 lbs, 13 oz (50th percentile) and was 32 inches long (80th percentile). Still long and lean...like his daddy!

We spent Labor Day with our friends Adam and Kenda, Tim, Emily, and Henry. We all met at Kenda's dad's house in Shelbyville, IN and had a great day of swimming, riding dirt bikes, and hanging out. It was so nice to see everyone! I hope everyone has a good weekend!

End of Summer

We had a great last weekend before it was back to work for me...and kind of the end of summer. On Friday Nana, Evan, Wyatt, and I went to the Zoo. The boys had a great time riding the train, watching the manatees, and playing at the children's area. On Saturday morning Wyatt and I went to Gymboree and then played around the house. That evening we went to Nana and Papa's house for Evan's 2nd Birthday party. On Sunday Matt, Wyatt, and I had a nice day together. We spent the morning walking on the bike trail with our coffee, playing with Wyatt at the park, and then enjoying breakfast at Paxton's...one of our favorite restaurants in Old Loveland by the bike trail. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to spend a morning all together:) To end my time before work Wyatt and I went swimming with Nana on Tuesday afternoon and then enjoyed dinner on the patio at Maketewah, where Papa and Katie joined us. It has been a wonderful summer and it has been a lot of fun spending time with Wyatt. He's now back to school full time and I think Carrie and Sharon enjoy having him back everyday. He definitely keeps them entertained throughout the day:)

Michigan

Wyatt, Mosley, and I spent a great weekend in Michigan at my Aunt and Uncle's cottage with Nana, Papa, Doug, and Evan, and of course John and Vicki (my aunt and uncle). We had beautiful weather...it was actually on the chilly side for August. It was perfect sleeping weather though:) Everyone, except for Evan and Wyatt, slept outside on the screen porch at the cottage, so it feels great when it is a little chilly at night. While there for the weekend we went to the beach, went into town for the Blueberry Festival, hung out at the cottage, hiked in the woods, and went to the carnival at the park. Mosley loves going there and totally wore herself out! We all had a great time. Thanks John and Vicki!

Wyatt goes back to school full time next week and I officially start back to work on Wednesday. I can't believe the summer is over! Wyatt is still not walking regularly...he takes 5 or 6 steps here and there but really prefers crawling. He stands a lot and balances, and cruises along furniture, but just doesn't walk much independently. It will come:) He continues to do great with his signing and is able to communicate most of his wants and needs to us by signing. He also talks a lot and is a funny little guy. He tries to repeat everything we say! He's growing up so quickly!

Here are some pictures from our weekend in Michigan. I hope everyone has a good weekend.
