Fun in Florida

So far we are all having a great time in Florida...once we made it down here. Our plane got delayed in Cincinnati and we didn't end up taking off until 12:30 a.m., instead of 7:40 p.m. Not a lot of fun...especially with two young kids. Both Wyatt and Evan did great though. We got to the condo around 4:15 a.m. Needless to say everyone was pretty exhausted on Friday. We sat around and chilled at the condo and the pool most of the day to recover. Yesterday we went to the beach for the day. Evan loved playing in the sand, scooping it up and putting it in his bucket. Wyatt was not very fond of how it felt on his hands. He liked feeling it with his feet but that was about it. Wyatt has loved swimming in the pool, splashing around and even putting his face in some. The weather has been beautiful and it is so nice to see the sun!

A Great Christmas

We had a wonderful first Christmas with Wyatt! I can't believe it's already over. Thank you everyone for all of the great gifts. Wyatt is trying to get to all of his new toys and has enjoyed playing with some of them already. When unwrapping them he was more into the paper and bows than anything else:) We are leaving for Florida tonight for a week with my family in Naples. We are all really looking forward to some time in the warm sun! I hope everyone has a great New Years!

Almost Christmas!

Wyatt is feeling better and is back to his happy, smiling self. Now let's hope that he can stay healthy through the holidays and for our trip to Florida. Keep your fingers crossed! My last day of work was Wednesday so Wyatt and I have been doing a lot of hanging out since then. I did take him to school for a half day on Thursday and Friday so I could get the rest of my Christmas shopping done. On Thursday we went out to lunch with Nana and then on Friday we went out to lunch with "Aunt" Julie. He is such a social bug!

Yesterday while Matt worked I took Wyatt swimming at the fitness center and he loved it, so I took him again today. He smiled, laughed, splashed, and screamed with delight! He actually put his face in today...I think on accident but it didn't bother him. He actually did it again then! I think he was trying to imitate me blowing bubbles. He hasn't quite figured that out yet:) I'm looking forward to taking him swimming every day in Florida!

Also, I'm looking forward to his first Christmas. I'm sure he's going to be more interested in the wrapping paper and boxes than anything else but we'll see. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

A Weekend at Home...Sick

Well, once again Wyatt is sick. This time he has Bronchiolitis and an ear infection. So he started on antibiotics on Saturday to help the ear infection and we just have to let the Bronchiolitis run its course. Even though he has been sick all weekend he has been in good spirits. Wyatt and I didn't really leave the house all weekend...we just hung out at home in our pajamas. I'm sure Mosley enjoyed the company:) I hope everyone has a good week. My last day of work before my winter break is Wednesday which I am really looking forward to. I need a break...and so do the kids! Enjoy the pictures.

Visit with Santa

On Saturday Wyatt had his first visit with Santa and sat on his lap. He smiled and shook his head after checking out Santa's beard. He was very happy! My brother got some cute pictures so I will see if I can get some from him to post. Mike, Ellen, Grace, and Hannah joined us at my parent's church for the Breakfast with Santa. It was a fun morning! Wyatt must have had too much fun on Saturday because he didn't nap until 5:00 at night and then only slept for about an hour. He was happy and content the entire day though. It looks like he's going to be a kid who doesn't need much nap time!

On Sunday morning Wyatt watched me decorate the Christmas tree from his Bumbo seat. He was very interested in what I was doing. Then all 3 of us wandered around the mall for awhile attempting to start some Christmas shopping. It was nice to have some snow last week to help get me in the spirit of Christmas. On Wednesday Wyatt's teachers brought some snow inside for the babies to explore with. Wyatt being his curious self jumped right in and played with it. I didn't have a chance to take him out in the snow to play though. Next time! It will be fun to see what he does:)

A Relaxing Weekend

We all had a good weekend and I hope everyone else did also. On Saturday Wyatt, Nana, and I went downtown and wandered around and checked out the Christmas stuff. We stopped at the square and watched everyone ice skating which Wyatt really enjoyed. If it weren't so cold we would have spent longer outside watching, but we were all a little chilly! Then we went to Macy's and found Wyatt and Evan outfits to wear for Christmas. It was a nice and relaxing day and Wyatt got to spend some time with Nana. On Sunday Matt, Wyatt, and I hung out for the day which was nice. Then we watched the Bengals lose...again. Oh well! Here are some pictures to enjoy and I hope everyone has a wonderful week:)

6 Months

Wyatt had his 6 month doctor's appointment on Thursday and checked out as a healthy boy! He weighed 18 pounds, 14 ounces and was 28 inches long. That puts him in the 80th percentile for weight and the 94th percentile for height. Who ever would have thought I would have a child that big! He has had a good week and has kept very busy at school. They are working with him on sitting up and on tummy time. He still does not seem to enjoy tummy time and will flip himself over almost immediately. His teachers have started putting pillows next to him to trap him on his tummy so he gets some tummy time in. They said he is not always very happy with them...but then he gets some time being spoiled afterwards:) Today there were only 3 kids in his class so he definitely got spoiled today! He still enjoys going on buggy rides around the school and all of the staff there always try to get him to smile to see his dimples. He has an infectious smile:)

I don't have any pictures to share right now but I'm sure I will by the end of the weekend. I hope everyone had a great week and has a good weekend!
