A Good Weekend

We all had a great weekend and Wyatt got to spend lots of time with Nana and Papa. On Friday Wyatt had his 2 month doctor's appointment and had to get 4 shots! He did great with them but it took him a couple of days to recover. He was extra snuggly on Friday because he wasn't feeling well. He has stayed around the 90th percentile for height and weight and was 25 inches long and 13.8 pounds. No wonder he doesn't fit into his 0-3 month clothes anymore! The doctor said he looks healthy and everything looks good.

Wyatt and I hung out at Nana and Papa's house with Nana and Evan on Friday. Evan took his first steps and I got to see them! It was pretty exciting. Then when Michelle picked him up that night he walked some for her. Then on both Saturday and Sunday my parents watched Wyatt. On Saturday I had a bridal shower for my friend Julie and on Sunday Matt and I went to the Red's game. We drove my dad's scooter and then cruised around some after the game. It was nice to get out! Well, that was our weekend. Wyatt and I went for a walk this morning and then have been hanging around the house...a lazy day.

A Great Time in Asheville

Wyatt and I got back from Asheville last night and had a great time. He was such a good little traveler and put up with a lot of driving! My parents were looking for a place so we drove all around Asheville and surrounding areas looking for the right spot. They found a place on the French Broad River about 30 minutes north of Asheville that we all really liked. The houses are in the mountains and also have a view of the river. A great location!

Besides looking for houses we wondered around downtown and found some great restaurants to eat at. At night after dinner Wyatt really enjoyed laying in the stroller while we walked around downtown. He loved checking things out! It was nice for him to get to spend some quality time with Nana and Papa. We had a wonderful week and are looking forward to going back down again!

A Relaxing Week

This week has been pretty slow and relaxing. We haven't done much which has been pretty nice. Matt was off today so I got a lot done around the house while he hung out with Wyatt. I actually started cleaning out the storage room which is going to be a huge project! I'll take it in baby steps:) I've also been packing getting ready for our trip to Asheville, NC with my parents. Wyatt and I are going and leaving Matt here to work. We are leaving Saturday morning and are coming home sometime on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to going back down there again. It's a great city to visit!

Wyatt continues to do really well. He has had two nights now where he has gone 8 hours between feedings. I forgot how nice it was to get 6 or 7 hours of straight sleep! Besides that he's been doing around 6 hours which is still nice...I can't complain. He still loves to eat and I think he just went through a growth spurt because he was eating a lot! I'm curious to see how much he weighs at his 2 month appointment:) He is now in some 3-6 month clothes!

Well, I'm going to go back to packing and then head to the gym for a quick workout. Matt and Wyatt are taking a nap together on the couch now. I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll write again when we get back from Asheville.

Wyatt meets a new friend

On Friday night we went over to our friend's house for some pizza and beer and to meet the new addition to their family. Jenny and Dave welcomed their son, Andrew David Franta, on June 27th. Wyatt met his new friend Drew and they hung out together for the night. They seem like they are more than 1 month apart in age. It's amazing how fast they change at this age! I'm looking forward to the two of them growing up together:) Drew is adorable and the family is doing great!

Wyatt also continues to do really well. He seems to be getting into more of a schedule and is sleeping well at night. He is also eating really well and is growing fast. He's getting some chunky little arms and legs:) We're still trying to decide who he looks like. I think he is a good combination of the both of us, while some people thinks he looks like me and others say he looks like Matt. Who knows! It will be fun to watch him grow and change and see who he ends up looking like. I think he's going to keep his blue eyes like his daddy though:)

Wyatt and I hung out with Nana and Evan yesterday at her house and Nana is coming over this afternoon to our house. We are going to go pick some flowers at a garden nearby. There is a garden at the Loveland Elementary School where you can pay and pick a bouquet a week for 10 weeks. So my mom and I are going to join and cut fresh flowers each week. This week the flowers are going to be put in church in honor of my mom's 4 year anniversary of her lung transplant. I am so grateful for each day I get to spend with her and I have so much respect for the mother who made the tough decision that allowed my mom to have another chance at life!

Well, here are some pics from the week. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Norris Lake

We hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We spent the week down at Norris Lake with Matt's family and had a wonderful time. It was nice to get away for awhile and spend some time with family and friends. We had great weather and managed to soak up some sun and go wake boarding and tubing. Wyatt had fun hanging out with all of his cousins for the week. He went on a couple of boat rides and slept whenever he was on the boat. He also got to hang out on the dock some while we all swam and laid in the sun. I think he liked the gentle rocking of the boat and the dock. It put him right to sleep! Wyatt also got to spend a lot of quality bonding time with GG and Gramps. Thanks for helping out so much with him!

Wyatt is growing and changing so fast! He is so much more alert and is starting to smile and make faces at us when we are talking to him. Two nights ago he had his first night where he went 6 hours between feedings and that was wonderful. That night he went 6 hours and then another 6 hours. He did it again last night too! That makes the nights so much better:) Let's hope he is getting into more of a regular schedule with that and these great nights continue.

Today Wyatt and I have just been hanging out at home recovering from our week out of town and catching up on stuff around here. Hope everyone had a good weekend! Here are some pics from our week at Norris.

A Big Night Out

Wyatt let his Mom and Dad have their first night out together without him while he stayed with Nana and Papa. Friday night Matt and I went to the Reds game with our friends Brandon and Lauren. Unfortunately the Reds lost but it was a fun night out. Then I stayed at my parent's house with Wyatt and Mosley instead of heading back to Loveland at 11:00 at night. Wyatt ate at 10:00 p.m. and then went 5 1/2 hours before his next feeding. He's beginning to go 4-5 hours on a regular basis when he first goes down. This is nice for me:) Hopefully this continues! On Saturday we went for a walk in Clifton and stopped by to visit some family friends so they could meet Wyatt.

Tonight Matt, Wyatt and I just got back from an exciting trip to Target and Wyatt is taking his first long nap of the day. He's had a lot of awake time today and spent a long time laying on his play mat checking out his toys. He really seems to enjoy that! Tomorrow we are going to pack for our trip next week to Norris Lake. Wyatt and I are riding down with GG on Monday and Matt is coming down on Tuesday night. This will be Wyatt's first trip! I have to get used to packing for both of us now:) Hopefully I remember everything! Well, I hope everyone has a great 4th of July and a wonderful week. I will write again after our trip to Norris.

A Big Boy!

Wyatt had his 1 month doctor's appointment today and is a growing boy! He weighed in at 11 pounds, 2 ounces and measured 23 inches. He is in the 90th percentile for height and the 80th percentile for weight...he obviously got his height from the Glassmeyer side of the family:) He got one shot today and did great with it. He has pretty much been sleeping since then except when it's time to eat. After the doctor's Wyatt and I went over to Cahira's house to visit with her and the twins, Josie and Maddie. We had a great time hanging out and chatting while the babies slept and ate. The picture of the three of them is hilarious because Wyatt looks huge next to them! He seemed to favor Josie when they were laying together so maybe that's who he will end up dating:)

Wyatt has started having more awake time during the day and is a lot more alert when he is awake. He loves laying on his play mat looking at the toys above him. He moves his arms and legs around the whole time and often hits the toys with his hands. He is starting to look back and forth more and will follow a toy when I move it from side to side. We have tummy time every day and he is able to lift his head and move it from side to side. He seems to like laying on his back better though.

Matt is off tomorrow so we will all have some time to hang out together. Also, Matt gets to spend some quality bonding time with Wyatt while I go get a massage. I am really looking forward to that:) It should be a good day.
