Funny Stuff

I know I just posted but it has proven to be rather interesting and funny having Wyatt in a big boy bed. Last night when I went upstairs to check on him this is where I found him asleep:

What made him decide that on the floor, half way under his bed was a good place to sleep is beyond me. He took his blanket, bunny, lamb, and pacifier with him though:)

Then today when he was supposed to be napping...which he never did...I heard a faint crying coming through the monitor. I went upstairs to check on him and couldn't find him. I looked in the bathroom and was calling his name when I heard him say "need help." I opened the closet door and he had shut himself in his closet and couldn't get out. As soon as I opened the door he said "go downstairs" and was totally fine. Needless to say that was the end of his quiet time.

I'm sure there are more interesting and funny things to happen now that he has the freedom to get out of bed. He keeps life interesting:)

It's Official

Wyatt has officially made the transition to his "big boy" room! About a week and a half ago he asked Matt, after story time, if he could sleep in his big boy bed...so we went for it. And he hasn't turned back. We have moved all of his clothes, toys, and books to his new room and all we have left to do is hang pictures and his name up on the wall. He seems to really like it:)

It's hard to believe but Wyatt and I only have 3 weeks left together before we both go back to school. I'm not ready for summer to be over! Last week Nana and I took Wyatt to the Aquarium for the first time. He loved looking at the fish, turtles, alligators, jellyfish, and sharks...and especially liked watching the penguins swim and jump into the water. I hope to make it back again before our summer comes to an end.

Wyatt, Mosley, and I have been enjoying our morning walks. I am slowing down a little but am still getting out there. I'm 30 weeks today and am looking forward to the new baby arriving. Wyatt knows there is a baby in my belly but I don't think he truly knows what it means. I'm sure there will be a little jealously but I guess that is normal. I think he will be a good big brother:)

Norris

We had a great 10 day vacation to Norris Lake! We were down there for the Fourth of July with the Glassmeyers and as always had a great time. Wyatt enjoyed seeing and playing with all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, and of course GG and Grandpa. The parade on the fourth was a big success and continues to get bigger each year. This year Wyatt rode on the golf cart some and walked some with Matt and I. It was fun seeing all of the decorated golf carts! The Glassmeyers all left by Monday and Matt, Wyatt, and I stayed down for some quiet time during the week. During that time we went on lots of golf cart rides to look for "scoopy tractors"...as Wyatt calls any tractor that can scoop or move dirt. By the end of the week he knew where all of the scoopy tractors were in Deerfield:)

On Thursday our friends Shannon and Jesse arrived from Denver for the weekend and Julie and Will arrived on Friday from Cincinnati. We had a great weekend with all of them and it was so great to see Shannon and Jesse! We went on lots of boat rides and Wyatt enjoyed watching daddy, Shannon, and Jesse wakeboard, jump off the bridge, and go on the rope swing. We had lots of fun but were all ready to be home on Sunday. I think Wyatt was happy to be back in his own bed:)

Matt started his new job on Monday and so far it is going well. We miss having him around during the day but I am happy he is working again. I have 5 weeks left of summer until it's back to work for me:( Here are some pictures to enjoy but you can see more if you click on the link "More Fun Photos" on the left side of the page. Hope everyone is having a good week!

Red's Game and Swimming

Wyatt has been loving the pool! We have been swimming almost daily and Wyatt enjoys jumping in and swimming to get his ball. We just bought some water wings for him and so far he loves them! He likes "swimming" all by himself without us holding onto him. Aunt Ellen, Grace, and Hannah came over to our pool last night to swim and have pizza...it was a fun time! Last week Papa and I took Wyatt to his first Red's baseball game. The weather cleared up just in time for the game and we watched 3 innings before it was closing in on Wyatt's nap time. He enjoyed watching the game, the people around him, and eating his chips. It was a fun day! Thanks Papa for going with us:) We are working on transitioning Wyatt to a "big boy" bed before the new baby arrives. He successfully napped there one day this week:) He looks so little in a big double bed! Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are.

Fun Times

We've had a great (official) start to our summer. The last day of school for Wyatt was nice. His teachers had a little party to send off him and 3 of his buddies. Then we had a great weekend with lots of family time. On Saturday GG, Grandpa, and Hannah stopped by to play for awhile. After lunch we all went to get ice cream and of course Wyatt and Hannah loved it! Then that night Wyatt got to hang out with Nana and Papa and spend the night at their house while Matt and I went out. Over the weekend was the Concours d'Elegance car show at Ault Park so there were events going on all weekend. We attended the Garage Party on Saturday night, so needless to say Matt was in his element. Then we actually got to enjoy a dinner out without the little man:) To top off the weekend we went to the car show on Sunday with Nana, Papa, and Evan. It was a beautiful day with lots of cool cars to check out. Today Wyatt and I went to the Zoo for story time, to meet Clifford, and to check out some animals. After story time Wyatt went right up to Clifford and gave him a big kiss...it was so cute! I hope everyone is having a great week!

Summer Begins!

Our summer is officially beginning this weekend! Tomorrow is my last day of work and I will have 2 months to hang out with Wyatt...and of course Matt also:) Wyatt's last day of school is tomorrow along with a few of his friends in his class, so his teachers are having a little party for them in the afternoon. When he returns to school in August he will be transitioning to the "big boy" toddler room (2-3 year olds), so he will have two new teachers. We will be saying goodbye to Ms. Brooke and Ms. Emily tomorrow...who have both been amazing teachers! Wyatt painted them a canvas today to hang in the classroom.

With the beautiful weather we have been able to make a few trips to our neighborhood pool. Wyatt loves jumping in to us! After he jumps he says "jump again?" and he climbs out and does it again...all while holding onto a ball of course. The cool water has not seemed to bother him. Also, last Sunday the three of us went to a motorcross course to watch some races. It was definitely an interesting experience and Wyatt enjoyed watching the motorcycles race. Someday he may be out there:)

We hope everyone is having a good summer so far!
