Norris

A couple of weeks ago we went down to the lake for a few days while I was on Spring Break. Nana, Papa, and Evan went down with Matt, the boys and I and Uncle Doug met us down there. We had a great time! Wyatt and Evan have so much fun together:) On Friday we took Wyatt and Evan to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN and they loved it. Wyatt rode his first ride and he loved the few he went on. We rode a mini roller coaster, flying elephants, and Wyatt got to drive a car. The boys were exhausted after a fun day! The rest of the weekend we hung out at the lake and played. Chase came down with his first real illness...he ran a fever the whole weekend and was coughing. After a visit to the doctor when we got home and round of antibiotics he is doing a lot better:)

Chase is growing quickly and is very close to sitting independently. He loves playing in his ExerSaucer and on his playmat. He continues to do great at school and seems to really like both of his teachers. He is a very laid back little man:)

With the nice weather we have been enjoying our screened in porch and have been spending most evenings out there. Wyatt loves it because he can play his sports...golf, basketball, football...and not worry about anything getting in the way. He loves to eat dinner out there at the big table and the animals are enjoying it as well.

All is good here at the Glassmeyer house:)

Time Is Flying By!

It's hard to believe that Chase is almost 6 months old and I haven't posted anything in a month! Chase is growing quickly and is turning into my little chunky monkey:) He has his 6 month checkup next week and I am curious to see how much he has grown. He loves his bottles and loves his food! He is eating cereal, fruits, and veggies and so far has only turned down peas...which I don't blame him for. He is a very happy, laid back little guy. He started rolling over last week, mostly from his belly to his back, and is so happy when he does it. He just grins from ear to ear:) He is still doing great at school and his teachers said he loves having "conversations" with the other children and with them. He recently battled his first two ear infections, but last week was given the all clear. Let's hope he's not following in Wyatt's footsteps!

Wyatt has officially given up his pacifier! Last week he mailed them all to the "Paci Ferry" for some special presents. When we asked him what he thought she would bring he said an orange excavator...so she brought one for his last paci. He was so excited! He continues to be a good big brother to Chase. I think he went through some delayed jealousy though and was really pushing the limits with us but has been getting better lately. He's exerting his independence:) Chase loves watching Wyatt play and smiles and laughs when Wyatt interacts with him. It's so cute.

Wyatt and Chase had a sleepover at GG and Grandpa's house on Saturday night and Chase took his first trip to the zoo. GG said he just chilled and looked around and Wyatt enjoyed seeing all of the animals. I think the highlight of his trip though was seeing the scooping tractors in the giraffe exhibit:) He's such a boy!

We have been enjoying the Spring weather we've been having and it has been so nice to get outside to play and take evening walks as a family. Let's hope this beautiful weather continues!

Snow!

The snow has been beautiful but I'm now officially ready for Spring! Wyatt has enjoyed getting out in the snow to play and help me shovel the driveway. I've had a few snow days so we've been able to spend a few extra days together:) Unfortunately Wyatt has to have minor surgery on Tuesday so see what is going on with his ear. He had tubes put in a year ago and since then his left ear has been great but he's had constant drainage and infections in his right ear. I think he's been on ear drops more than he's been off them this past year. So the doctor decided he wanted to put Wyatt under, remove the tube, and get a really good look at what is going on. So that is what we have to look forward to on Tuesday!

Chase came down with his first illness last weekend, getting pink eye and an ear infection. He is currently on antibiotics and eye drops, along with his Zantac still. We could start a mini-pharmacy here! He continues to be happy through it all, but is just not sleeping quite as well at night right now. Hopefully this gets better soon!

Busy Times

Things here have been busy with me being back to work so I haven't had as much time to post. It's hard to believe that Chase is now 4 months old! He is developing his own little personality...he is a very happy little guy, he loves to "talk" to anyone who talks to him, he continues to flash his little smirk often , and is proving to be a little flirt at school. He loves his teachers and is doing really well at school. We had his 4 month checkup last week and he weighed in at 16 pounds, 2 ounces (80th percentile) and was 26.25 inches long (92nd percentile). Everything looked good:) He also started on rice cereal last week and so far is loving it!

Wyatt is also doing well. He is a great big brother and can't wait for Chase to get bigger so he can play with him. Wyatt has become so independent and loves to help me out around the house. He helps me do laundry and enjoys "dunking" the clothes in the washing machine. He also has his own little dust pan and broom and likes to clean up the crumbs off the floor after he eats. We are continuing to work on potty training but he is not that interested in it. Right now he is wearing his big boy underware over his pull-ups...a guess it's a step in the right direction:) Last weekend he started gymnastics class on Saturday mornings at The Little Gym and absolutely loved it! It is nice to have some special Wyatt/Mommy time.

Everyone is doing well here and we are enjoying the snow!
