2010!

We hope everyone is having a great start to their new year! Things here are good. Chase is growing and changing so quickly and is developing his own little personality now. He loves to coo and make noises and "talk" to anyone who talks to him. He smiles a lot and has his trademark little smirk:) Also, he is starting to laugh which I love. So far he is doing well at school and I have officially gone back to work. I had an easy week though last week with a delay on Tuesday and snow days on Thursday and Friday. It's nice easing myself back into work:) As of right now Chase has been sleeping well at night (I probably just jinxed myself!). On Saturday morning he slept until 7:45 which was so nice! He is a happy and easy going baby...especially now that we have gotten his reflux under control. Wyatt continues to be a great big brother. He still loves to give Chase hugs and kisses and always talks about what they will do together when Chase gets bigger. It's pretty cute:) We spent the long weekend over New Years down at Norris Lake with Nana, Papa, and Evan. Wyatt and Evan had a great time playing together! We all had a nice relaxing but cold weekend! It's been a nice start to 2010.

Christmas

I'm not sure where to begin because it's been quite awhile since I've posted anything. I guess life with two kids is a little busy! Things are going well. Wyatt adores his little brother Chase and loves giving him hugs and kisses...we are working hard on keeping the kisses to the top of the head but Wyatt is such a little lover:) The holidays have been fun this year with Wyatt really getting into Christmas and Santa Claus. He managed to sit on Santa's lap 3 times and each time he was more comfortable. The last time he just walked right up to him and started talking to him, then continued to have a conversation with him after sitting on his lap. It was pretty cute! Every time he asked Santa for M&M's, candy canes, and scooping tractors...all of which he got for Christmas. He was very slow at opening his presents, enjoying each one as he opened it...he even asked me to open some for him. He really liked seeing what was in all of our stockings! We enjoyed our first Christmas with Chase but he is a little young and of course had no idea what was going on. He was a great little guy for all of the various family gatherings we had. He hung out, checked things out and slept. Pretty nice life! He is doing a lot better at night now and I am hoping he has finally figured out the whole sleeping through the night thing. This morning he slept until 7:15! We have been swaddling him because he is a restless sleeper but we are experimenting tonight with no swaddle...we'll see how it goes. I can't wait to be able to just put him in a sleep sack!

The big news is that Chase starts school tomorrow! It's hard to believe that the time is here for me to go back to work. Chase will be going two days this week and will start full time next week. He will be in the same infant room that Wyatt was in with the same teachers...they are so excited to have another Glassmeyer and we are excited that they will be his teachers! Well here are some pictures to enjoy and I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Thanksgiving

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! We had a great long weekend with the Glassmeyer family. On Thanksgiving we spent the day at Uncle Mike and Aunt Ellen's house with Matt's family. Wyatt enjoyed playing with all of his cousins and it was nice hanging out with everyone. Then on Friday we all headed down to Norris Lake for the rest of the weekend. We had beautiful weather so the kids were able to play outside...going for golf cart rides, playing at the playground, going for motorbike rides, and roasting marshmallows for smores. This was the first time that Wyatt really played with some of his older cousins, Andrew, Wil, and Ryan and he had a great time with them, playing football, basketball, and tractors. He is still talking about playing basketball with Wil in the basement:) All of the cousins were very into baby Chase and enjoyed talking to him and just watching him. They especially liked it when he smiled back at them. We had a wonderful weekend!

Chase had his 2 month appointment this week and is doing well. He gained 3 pounds and weighs 12 lbs 10 oz (75th percentile) and grew 2 1/2 inches and is now 23.5 inches long (75th percentile). He is definitely filling out and chunking up:) Now all we need to do is get him sleeping through the night!

I think he might end up with the Glassmeyer eyes:)

Florida Continued

The rest of our trip to Florida was great. The sun came out and the last few days were gorgeous! We spent a lot of time at the pool swimming and hanging out. We also managed to squeeze in a few more trips on the golf cart tram to the beach. Wyatt enjoyed sitting up front with the driver checking everything out. We looked for birds, alligators, and turtles on all of our trips:) It was nice to get away for a week and Wyatt enjoyed spending lots of time with Nana.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Fun Times in Florida

Wyatt, Chase, Nana, and I are having a great time down in Naples. We arrived down here on Tuesday and Aunt Vicki was here with us until Thursday. Wyatt loved spending time with her and is still asking "Where is Aunt Vicki?" For the first three days it was cloudy and actually kind of chilly, but the sun came out yesterday and it was a gorgeous day. It is supposed to be sunny and in the low 80's the rest of our time down here:) It is so nice to soak up some sun! So far Wyatt's highlights of the trip are riding the golf cart tram to the beach and watching the bobcat work at the park. Boys have their priorities:)

Chase is still struggling some with his nighttime sleeping so we are really working on this. He does great the first part of the night going 5-6 hours before needing to eat but then sometimes has a really hard time going down after that. Also, I think he thinks that he is supposed to be up for the morning at 4:30 or 5:00...a little too early for me! Let's just keep our fingers crossed that he will figure things out soon!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend:)
