We had a good rest of the weekend. On Sunday Wyatt, Mosley, and I walked up to the park and met Ellen and the girls and Cahira and her four kids. The older kids played on the climber while the four babies crawled around on the ground...putting everything they found into their mouths! Then that afternoon Grace and Hannah came over to play with Wyatt for awhile and they all had a great time. It was a nice day. This week has been pretty laid back. The whole family went for a run this evening and it has been so nice getting outside everyday. Hope you are all having a good week.

Our Little Artist
Wyatt is now a famous artist at his school. The director asked his teachers if they would have him paint a large canvas to hang in the front entrance of the school. So Wyatt created his masterpiece last week. It turned out great and is hanging in the front foyer of the school with his picture and bio. We are so proud of him:) Wyatt is now officially crawling. At Gymboree Play this morning he was crawling all over the mats, especially to go after the balls. He had a great time and was so much more comfortable today than last week. Last night we went over to Chris and Francesca's house with some of our friends and Wyatt got to play with his friend Drew, who is 1 month younger than Wyatt. It was fun to see them together. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Gymboree Play
Wyatt is rolling around all over the floor right now while I write. He is becoming very good at getting to where he wants to go...without really crawling. This weekend Wyatt and I have had a lot of time to hang out which has been nice. On Friday we got together with Nana and cousin Evan in the morning. Then in the afternoon Wyatt and I had fun here at home. Wyatt played with both dried pasta and jell-o (at different times). Also, he loved sitting on the wood floor in the kitchen and banging on the floor with his wooden spoon. We ventured downstairs to the basement for awhile because there is a lot of space there for him to move around. As he gets older I'm sure we will be spending more time down there.
On Saturday morning Wyatt and I started our Gymboree Play and Music class together. He is in the 10-16 month old class so he was the youngest there. He sat and watched a lot this first time and really just wanted to play ball with me. He seemed to enjoy it though and as he becomes more mobile I'm sure he will love climbing on all of the mats. He was exhausted afterwards and fell asleep on the way home and then slept for over 2 hours (that's almost unheard of for him)!
Wyatt is trying to repeat everything we say and all of the sounds we make. He says dog and will look for Mosley, then will try to say woof, woof. He will baa like a sheep which is pretty funny to hear. He loves to say dada and papa and sometimes gg, but for some reason will not say mama (I think he's said it once). Go figure:) Nana taught him how to growl into the cap from his bottle to make a funny sound. He loves it and is now growling all of the time! He likes to wave hi and bye and will sometimes say "bye, bye" when you leave and will blow you a kiss. He is following in my footsteps and takes his socks off at every possible moment, especially while we are in the car. I think he will probably spend most of the summer barefoot:)
It is amazing how fast he is growing and changing. We decided with his blond, shaggy hair that he looks like a little surfer boy...and when it is humid he's got my curls:) Have a great week!

A Good Weekend
Wyatt and I had a great time in Asheville with Nana and Papa. The weather on Saturday was beautiful...70 degrees and sunny, so we spent as much time outside as possible. We ate lunch outside and then headed to French Broad Crossing to check out my parent's property. We stopped by the lodge and hung out, then drove around and checked things out. It is so beautiful there! I'm looking forward to when my parents build their house:)
We got home on Monday evening and I think Wyatt was ready to be back home and back to his schedule. He went back to school on Tuesday and seemed very happy to be there. He greeted Sharon by reaching out to her and giving her a big hug. Yesterday at school all of the babies created their own painting masterpiece on an 8x10 canvas. Wyatt's turned out so cool and of course he tried to eat the paint:) I am on Spring Break this week but have taken Wyatt to school anyway and have had some me time. Today I got a massage and a pedicure:) They were much needed!
Yesterday morning before school Wyatt crawled! He hasn't really done it since but he crawled over to get me. He is getting around great by rolling and pivoting and is moving backwards. He is getting there:) He definitely wants to be on the move! Well, I hope everyone is having a great week.

Steak and Shake
Right now Wyatt and I are down in Asheville, North Carolina with my parents. We got down here yesterday and had a great day today. It was 70 degrees and sunny! It was so nice to see the sun! I had to post some of these pictures from our trip down. We went to Steak and Shake for lunch and Wyatt was hilarious wearing a Steak and Shake hat. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Happy Easter!

Almost Crawling
It seems like forever since I've posted anything. Things with the Glassmeyer family are going well. Wyatt is continuing to grow and change everyday...getting closer and closer to crawling:) His teachers said he almost did it yesterday! I am hoping he will crawl this weekend for the first time so I can see it. He gets around rather well though by pivoting while up on his hands and then rolling to where he wants to go. I guess you do whatever works:)
Wyatt and daddy had a good weekend together last weekend while I was in Washington DC for a conference. Because of the big snow (which I missed) Matt came home from work early on Friday and didn't go in on Saturday so they got to spend a lot of time together. This past week was a little rough because Wyatt ran a fever off and on for a couple of days. He had no other symptoms so we think it might have been from teething...because he is also drolling a ton. It looks like a waterfall coming out of his mouth! By Thursday he was doing much better.
Tonight is a big night for him...he gets to have a sleepover with GG and Grandpa while Matt and I go to an auction/party for my school. I actually get to (try to) sleep in tomorrow:) Also, this past week I turned 30 so I'm working on dealing with the fact that I am not in my 20s anymore! It is weird but I'm okay with it. I am so happy with my life right now and am so blessed with a wonderful family! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

A Trip to the Ranch
We hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather was so nice that we got outside as much as possible! Wyatt and I went to the zoo on Saturday afternoon and wandered around some. Wyatt's favorite part was definitely watching the manatees and the fish swim by him. Also, they were cleaning the manatee tank so he even got to see a scuba diver...who waved at him:) On Sunday the whole Glassmeyer family went down to the Ranch for the day. The boys rode their dirt bikes while the girls and the kids hung out at the cabin. It was a beautiful day! Then we all went back to GG and Grandpa's for dinner to celebrate some birthdays. It was a nice weekend.
Wyatt is in the process of getting his top teeth. I think I could feel one of them starting to cut through today. He hasn't been sleeping that great at night...I don't know if this is the reason or if it is just because he is being a little stinker:) We'll see. I am really hoping for a good night tonight!
On Thursday I leave to go to Washington DC for the weekend for a conference. Matt will have Wyatt for the weekend so they will get lots of time together. Except on Saturday Wyatt gets to spend the day with Nana and Papa while Matt works. I am looking forward to getting some good sleep but know I will miss my little man (and my big man). Hope everyone has a good rest of the week and a good weekend.
